Laser Rail™
The API Laser Rail™ is a highly accurate positioning system, which enables measuring systems to be simply inspected on the shop floor or in the production environment. In particular, the accuracies of co-ordinate measurement machines, respectively Laser Trackers can be verified with the Laser Rail™ in agreement with standardized measurement regulations. An integrated laser interferometer permits fast and uncomplicated control of the accuracies concerning horizontal, vertical or even diagonal planes.

Why you no longer need an acclimatized inspection room
You cannot avoid variations in temperatures in measurement and calibration tasks (e.g through changing room temperatures)and not every company has an air-conditioned inspection room. The API Laser Rail™ registers the variations in temperatures and automatically compensates the length variation of the measurement set-up caused by thermal expansion.

• Made of high strength, extruded aluminium: lightweight with the highest accuracy

Suitable for the shop floor
The API Laser Rail™ allows you to check your measurement system, wherever you want, either in the workshop or directly in production. An advantage of the lightweight profile: it facilitates transportation and the easy set-up of the Rail™. The two tripods (stands) supplied with the system allow the rail to be positioned into all of the configurations specified in the B89.4.1 Standard.

Thoroughly thought out: so you save time

The precision carriage holds two targets at the same time; so the 3D co-ordinates of the objects to be measured can be checked parallel to the measured value of the laser interferometer. The carriage holds a retro-reflector (for the laser tracker) as well as a steel ball (for CMM with tracer).
