API Laser Trackers are used at Siemens to measure turbine blades concerning just tenths of a millimeter. With a weight of just 8.5 kg, the Tracker is also practically for final assembly when a height of 3-5 meters needs to be measured.

Wolz Nautic was looking and finally found the perfect measurement system with the API Laser Tracker, which was flexible enough to be employed on a boat and also the length and transverse curvature of the deck with the demanded accuracy needed. The teak deck is completed to customerīs satisfaction within just 6 weeks after the order has been received.

Contrary to conventional interferometers the XD laser is developed on single axles so that you can measure up to six parameters at one time on the machine tool. The Laser Tracker is also employed for partial examination

Alignment of roller series at BAO Steel in China

During a measurement task it was detected that the armour plate moved away from the original track whilst the rolling mill was in operation. The Laser Tracker is ideally suited for solving this issue and can be widely applied to the roller adjustments of the Continuous Annealing Unit of the Rolling Mill and Coating Device Unit.

Service provider for Italian automotive industry invests in new API laser tracking technology

C.A.M Srl, based in Camagnola, (TO) Italy has a solid presence in the metrology industry. C.A.Mīs priority is to provide their customers, who are mainly from the automotive and automation industries, with the highest possible standard. C.A.M recently acquired the API Laser Tracker 3 to employ in their quality department to improve equipment testing and verification on the production line: A process which was previously supported by traditional CMMs and measurement arms.

A portable laser tracker let Galaxy Tools (Winfield, Kansas) increase not only its machining range, but also the range of its services to customers. The API tracker has been instrumental in letting the shop command much more aerospace business. Aircraft-related work now accounts for 75 percent of the shop's activity.
